Well, the Minority Association of Pre- Health Students invites you to our Physician Assistant & Nurse Practitioner Panel!
Did you know?
· Physicians Assistant programs are about is 26 months.
· The Nurse Practitioner Profession was ranked 4th best job in America in 2009 & the Physician Assistants Profession was ranked the 2nd best job in America in 2010.
· Nurse Practitioners have the advanced medical training to diagnose and treat a wide range of ailments They can also prescribe medication without consulting an MD.
· Due to the shortage of primary care physician, Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners are called to be the "replacements" of primary care physicians.
Come learn about the difference between the two wonderful careers. Representatives from the UW School of Nurse Practitioner School and UW MEDEX PA Program will be here to answer your questions!!

WHY: To learn about other wonderful health careers! Learn about the difference between a career as a Nurse Practitioner and a Physician Assistant.
After our meeting, from 7-8pm, MAPS & Hand 2 Hand will be working on their Valentine’s Day charity event. We will be stuffing boxes with candies, stickers, and perfume. The boxes will be donated to the Jubilee Women’s Center, Child Haven, North Seattle Family Center, & Broadview Emergency Shelter. We will distributing the boxes on Friday, February 11, 2011 from 1 -5 pm. Everyone is welcome to join!
