UW HIHIM Evening Degree Admission Application Changes for 2011

The UW Health Informatics and Health Information Management Department has added a new requirement to the existing prerequisite list for HIHIM admissions. Starting this year (2011), all HIHIM applicants are required to meet the English Language Proficiency Requirement. Applicants have a number of test options as outlined below.

The 2011 HIHIM Application available on our web site before January 26, 2011 was incorrect. The application has been corrected! Please refer students to the revised admission application document for the 2011 application season.

This application corrects the English Proficiency documentation requirement.

1 – All applicants must submit page 5 of the application packet and provide a test score for any ONE of the tests listed. You do not need to provide scores for multiple tests.

2 – The DELNA test is available to UW students only.

3 – Academic English Placement (AEP) and IELTS tests may be used by ANY applicant regardless of language status.

4 – You may use scores from tests that are less than 6 years old.

Any questions regarding this change may be directed to Marcus Stringer, Program Coordinator, at hihim@u.washington.edu
