This message is to let you know that the deadline for MLK Day Team Leader applications has been extended to next Friday, October 25th!

On the first deadline we did not get as many applications as we had hoped for, so I’m asking you, as teachers and student leaders, to help me by spreading the word about this leadership and service opportunity to students! If any of you would be willing or interested in having me speak at the beginning of your classes or club meetings about the Team Leader position, I would gladly accept the offer! Or, if you have a course or club website that you could post my flyer on, I would also welcome that opportunity! If you have any other ideas for how we can recruit more student volunteers for this great event, please let me know! Extra credit for being a Team Leader may also be something worth considering!

MLK Day is a wonderful event which helps to connect the campus around service and community outreach, develops students’ leadership and skills, and provides A LOT of needed food to the community both on and off campus.

That being said, if you are interested in helping plan for the event or give input/guidance to how it can be better, we need you for our planning committee! Email me to say you are interested in helping with MLK day-(not a very big commitment, just need a few more brains working on this)
