It’s time for the annual Women in Science and Engineering (WiSE) conference at the University of Washington. The conference will take place on Saturday, March 1, 2014. If you haven’t attended in the past, this conference is focused toward the woman scholar who is interested in and/or pursuing engineering and science from high school through graduate level.
Workshops and presentations will be offered all day that speak to the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) educational and career opportunities as well as professional and personal development. A few areas of discussion that will be shared include: identifying a major, career pathway, transition into higher education, challenges and benefits of STEM fields. The workshops run simultaneously so the individual student can tailor the conference for their interests. We encourage students of science and engineering at all levels to attend. The registration fee is minimal, and there are great opportunities to network and explore opportunities.
Our 2014 Key Speaker:
Randi Zuckerberg
American business woman
Founder and CEO of Zuckerberg Media, and Editor-In-Chief of Dot Complicated
