Shoreline CC Honors Program

The Honors Program is now recruiting students for the 2014-15 academic year. We would appreciate it if you could discuss the opportunities that the program can offer with your students. Members of the Honors Committee would be happy to visit your classes for a brief 5 minute (or less?) presentation. Please let me know if you would like someone to visit your class.

There will be an Honors Orientation session for prospective students in the Board Room on Tuesday, June 3rd at 12:30. Our current Honors students will be presenting their work in the Board Room on Wednesday, June 4th at 12:30

Honors gives students the opportunity to work in-depth on a year-long project while developing research and presentation skills. Students get to work closely with a faculty mentor and develop skills and knowledge that will be a tremendous advantage for their upper division work. The program consists of ten credits (5 in Fall 3 in Winter 2 in Spring). Credits can be applied to Humanities and Social Sciences distribution requirements.

Attached to this message is a brochure outlining the Honors Program and a copy of our application form.

Thanks for your support in the past and any help you can offer the program in the future,
