The course will be taught by professor emeritus and "Professor of the Year" award winner, Clarita Bhat and Tom Breithaupt, who is a biochemist and has taught this course before at UW.

This course will be followed by CHEM 256 in Summer Quarter. The courses are equivalent to U of Washington’s Biochemistry 405 and 406. Many dentistry, medical, pharmacy and other graduate level health professional programs require such courses.

Shoreline’s Chemistry Department was approached by UW’s Pharmacy Program to develop this course, because the UW courses cannot provide enough spaces for students and our Chemistry Department is regarded among the best in our region.
